Silent / Kisok Printing

Silent Printing is known as printing a document from your web browser directly to the printer, without having to change any of the printer settings or options.

At this stage, silent printing is only compatible with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome Web Browsers and the Windows operating system.

Note: Before setting up silent printing for your browser, keep in mind that this skips any settings and options when you print a document from Oncyclo . Silent Printing also only prints to the printer that has been set up as the default, along with the paper size that has been set as the default. Ensure that your printer settings and defaults have been set up correctly before proceeding.

Setting up Silent Printing in Google Chrome:

1. On you desktop, right click on your google chrome icon and select properties.
2. In the target field of the properties pop up window, add the following text at the end of target field:
    chrome --kiosk -- kiosk-printing.
If done correctly, it should look something like this: "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Chrome.exe" chrome -- kiosk --kiosk-printing
3. Click okay and close out of the properties window.
4. Open up your chrome web browser. If it was already open, you will need to close it and reopen it for the changes to take affect.
5. Navigate to a sale in Oncyclo and click preview receipt.
6. A preview will still appear, however once you click print, it will automatically print out your receipt instead of opening up another print dialog window.

Before setting firefox to silent printing mode, you will need to make sure that you are using firefox's in built PDF viewer. You can do this by following the steps below:
